Cybran T2 pd Post Fix

Postby Arkansas » 11 Apr 2013, 17:06

I noticed today the cybran t2 pd now does 115 dps rather than the 70 of so it used to do (im not sure if this is a buggy projectile replacement or a compensation for the fact it used to miss all the time) . This has made it perhaps the best t2 pd for the following reasons:
-Does not miss and can't be dodged
- Almost no overkill
-Same Range
-Cheaper
-Shorter build time
-Really good elevation vs other t2 pds allowing it to shoot over small hills

I think, as I'm sure many other probably do that the Cybran T2 pd should be returned to its far lower DPS now its accuracy issues have been addressed.

How did you calculate the dps? Personally I think the Cerberus should be buffed anyway but not that much.

Where do you get the 70 DPS from? The stats were not changed in any way, only the targetting system. Or maybe did you make some kind of calculation from the fact that it used to miss moving targets 50% of the time?

Also, did you compare it to the 165 DPS of the Sera PD? Did you take into account the fact that it cannot hit several targets because it has no AOE compared to the Triad or the Oblivion?

I'm not saying that now that it doesn't miss the unit it is not better, it's obviously better than before, but it's supposed to have now the DPS it was supposed to have before, not more.

No disrespect, but this database is way older than 3603, and probably older than 3599 too. Cerberus DPS has been 117 in FAf since the beginning of FAF, not since 3624.

The no overkill is what makes the cybran pd way way better than a 165 dps sera pd.
I agree the fix need to be fixed. ;)

I've tried running into a PD with the same amount of striker in a Cerberus and a UEF T2 PD to test the fix, the result was about the same.

Didn't tried with a seraphim one, but you can try it and give us the result.

Doesn't sera re-target after a unit death so it doesn't have overkill either?
