Its right on the topic name.
But really, don't you find it a little disorientating to have more experienced ( golden oldies ) players outnumber the new arrivals. Go through the chat and you'll find the disparity astonishing. Sure some of these new influx may be ancient FA gods from the age of GPGnet but still , i find there isn't much support for the new guys.
SOME, not all mind you, SOME members of the FAF community are not really helping by ejecting lower ranked players from games or stacking games. As one new player ( who shall not be named ) has said before. There is no middle ground in FAF , you are either a noob or a pro.
I know that rating isn't everything but that is like saying a resume isn't everything when you apply for a job. The prime part of a player/employee skill comes from rating/resume. Which makes it unpleasant for bronze newbies to gain in experience by losing game after game to people quadruple their skill level ( eg. no hope )
I propose that new players ( rating from negative-800 ) interact with each other separately from the golden oldies ( 800-whatever). Games hosted by golden oldies and bronze newbies are unjoinable by players of different class. Granted, people WILL get stomped in newbie games but it won't be guaranteed nor will it be disturbingly fast ( hopefully ). Once a player has passed the rating threshold, they are free to participate in golden oldie games since they should have a fair amount of experience with FA multi now.
Thanks for reading this wall of text. I hope it makes some sense. Maybe. Or i could be delusional....
