Unit Descriptions in FAF

Has someone nullified the unit descriptions? If so, then why? I found them quite interesting to read. It used to give details about the unit like what type of weapon was fitted; for instance for the Striker it said it was armed with an upgraded gauss cannon. Now all it says is that it is a lightly armoured tank with a single cannon. I liked the more informatative descriptions better, now it looks like ColonelSheppard has written all of the unit descriptions

That already changed in the SupCom -> FA transition, in order to keep the UI as minimal as possible while newer players could still make sense of units (and make sense of them by just glancing at the description instead of having to read 5 lines of text).
