Annoying bug during bigger games

Hey is it only me or does anyone else get this bug where if you double click on idle engineers the game freezes for about 2 seconds before it selects them? And it generally gets more stuttery which makes it really hard to place structures and issue orders to units. Is it something to do with the single thread problem that SupCom has on anything under a quad core processor? I'm just asking because I think that if it was smoother games would be far less stressful when it reaches the mid game stage.

probably you select that much engis that you recive a CPU lag for it

Maybe it's an AI you are using.

What do you mean by that, do players have different AI controlling there units?
