Okay I must admit I thought I was cured of "Nerd Rage" after coming back to SupCom, but, it seems, the more you play a game the more involved you become during a match and there have been sometimes when I have felt the urge to type some abuse in the chat when I lose or when my opponent makes it hard for me to finish.
Take yesterday for instance, I was playing on Fin's Revenge, I had won the land spam war and then my opponent stood in his base and built T1 PDs all around him and managed to get quite an effective turtle going on, later upgrading his com with the T2 engineering suite to turtle with T2 PDs + shields (and then later with Ravangers + heavy shields).
Now I think back to it I should have just switched to arty spam during his little T1 PD building stage but I didn't think of it at the time as I normally just tend to build Auroas on Fin's so that the artillery doesn't get left behind when I take advantage of the Auroas hover ability.
Anyway, during this point I could feel the game slipping away from me and I was getting quite frustrated with him not just giving up like any sane human being. Eventually I put an end to his antics by dropping a Czar on his head but I really wanted to finish earlier considering I just wanted a quick game before I had to go out.
And it's not just frustration at the conclusion of a game, during playing my adrenaline levels go up and I get such a rush from it as well. How's everyone else's experience, do you play quite relaxed or are you really high on adrenaline? I ask this because I saw a game from ZLO_RO's perspective when he was playing and he seemed really relaxed compared to how I am when I play!
