Hi Guys,

It could be a nice improvement to the GC to be able to suck naval unit up to level 2 and all sub unit except experimaental of course within a resonable range let's say 60 (40 on land)

I would agree for tech 1 naval based on their mass values, but tech 2 can cost >2k so it doesn't make sense assuming the weapon works based on mass cost for a insta kill.
The extra range doesn't really make sense except to assist in being a counter navy weapon in that case you should be building a tempest.

GC can already suck up t3 bots wich also cost up to 2k mass but i think it would make him overpowerd to suck up naval units at that range.

GC are not made for countering Naval atacks

imo, this would be a bad change. next would be he can suck air units and after that buildings... na, let it as it is. it is fine.

I have expected some other reaction ....

It's not such a great change on the balance ... it's to prevent the GC beeing destroyed while in water.
Don't forget that GC has no speed when compared to navy ... navy can escape him with ease it's not even mean to counter navy .... you can not even compare the cost between navy and a GC !!!

aeon have special units for certain circumstances, GC for land and Tempest for water

Naval and Air are the counter to GC, if you want to be GC uncounterable just set his hp in the blueprint to -1 instead of some complicated sucking stuff

gc should get destroyed in water. i dont want a gc to suck up my subs. when a gc is approaching my coast, i send in subs and torp bombers. after this change i can stop it or at least damage it with only air? or some t2 navy at his back? for what? gc is impressive anyway and doesnt need to suck up ships as well.

It's not mean to make the GC uncounterable at all it's mean he can defend itself while going in water like ML have torpedo don't forgot gc can not attack when going on direction and you attacking from the opposite ... mean also you must not need to dominate the see before sending a GC .. and atm it's not like aeoo dominate the see
It's just an idea of improvement not a great OP change like you seem to see it

it should not be able to defend itself in water. it is a land unit with the feature of going into water too. that's all.
all other land t4s have no real navy defence as well. i dont count the torps of the ml or faty. and yotha has nothing too. so why should gc have?
there is no real reason for that.

Really ?

From all t4 land unit like you said GC is the only one who have no naval defense nor air defense. the yotha which I consider over classing the GC have on top of that air defense and cheaper cost !!! put some t3 sera sub and we will see if you can stop it from coming into your base ... with air or with navy ....
