Does the Disintegrator Amplifier upgrade REDUCE the damage to 200 or INCREASE it to 500?

The unit data base says "New Damage" which in every other instance means that's the new damage. In this case changing it from 300 to 200.

Why not open up a sandbox game, with cheats turned on, and measure it for yourself? I don't mean any offense to suggest this rather than answering your question. I think anyone would have to sandbox it in order to answer your question. So you might as well be the one to do the work. The unit DB in general is unfortunately not perfectly trustworthy. The only way to know for sure is to sandbox it.

Thank you for pointing that out. I'll have to do that next time I'm at a computer. I unfortunately wasn't able to test this from my mobile.

I've also gained a better understanding of the unit data base when asking these kind of questions in the past, and simultaneously brought errors to light to those who needed to know.

But yes, you are correct. I'll test this out myself. Question though. How do i use cheats? I've never done that.

In order to use cheats from the alt-f2 menu, before you start the game, go to "options" and scroll down to "cheating." That's how you can turn cheats on.

Just tested it. Increases damage to 500 per shot.

I also tested it, but it remained 300 for me. Now I'm really confused

Also, the in game prompt only says the gun upgrade increases range. So that also leads me to believe it remains 300
