How about immobilizing teleporting CMDRs?

Postby mr_blastman » 01 Jun 2020, 18:58

When I upgrade my CMDR, I can't cancel an upgrade by moving them. However, when I've issued a teleport command, it is possible to accidentally move your CMDR and cancel the teleport.

For an action that takes 15 seconds to complete, wouldn't it be logical to immobilize the CMDR and make them unresponsive to move inputs, unless the teleport is cancelled first by issuing an escape command?

Isn't it possible to move any upgrading ACU/SACU by issuing a build order on top of them?

Just tested this, had the same behavior.

this definitely sounds like a regression. move was definitely not permitted before. I remember the stop button being the only way to cancel a TP, definitely not a move command. basically a TP behaved like an upgrade.

obviously noone would want to missclick-waste a TP-amount of energy, especially if they're not aware this change was made. and especially in a time-critical snipe/escape situation
