AI-Swarm Showcase

Today, I decided i'd record a game of swarm. After my development for almost a year now. I've hit v88 and I think swarm's the best hes ever been. This is 2.0 Multipler, i'll do another video of him without any Multipler ;) . I guess i'll let u guys notice all the cool stuff swarm can do. Hope u enjoy :P


Note: There was a desync, DFViper ended up winning but barely. Due to the desync and caused him to lose but it desynced at like 55m anyway.

wow it's a beast !! :O

how does it operate? does it play as well on any map?

It plays well on most maps. I've tested him a lot on Adaptive Open Wonder, but hes been through a lot of torture to get this far. v80 was when i completely redid his base building. Hes assist functions are very strong. He is also EXTREMELY Dependant on Scouting his scouting info is valuable. He needs this to figure out attacking patterns and etc. He can flank, surround and etc. Im always working on him so he changes a lot but i think hes not going through anymore complete overhauls or anything. I've finally hit a line where i can i run straight forward. He has many things over AIs dont like Queues. I've used a bunch of stuff from uveso and improved upon it (Thanks uveso). Uveso's stuff is definitely a start but i had to rip the ai down to the core to truly get him working the way i wanted him too. He even has a opener. In future imma be making reactive stuff for him and etc.

But yea he works on most maps.


Swarm operates mostly off Intel. All his attacking is based completely off intel and threat. Swarm does not walk into PD and a lot of the times he'll steal yo reclaim :lol:

why no mass caps? no enabling of onboard stealth for t3 planes/bombers?

He mass capped most of his expansion mexes.. He never actually overflowed, he didnt need to cap anymore considering he already had too much mass plus his storage was not full so his conditions didnt check :) . Also i'll check into that no enabling of those :shock: . Im using default ai plans (slightly edited) for Air and Navy. Land has completely new plans :) .

he should cap by principle. and there's always means to build more than your eco can handle. unless you have a paragon.

Your AI needs to get creative with it's late game mass expenditure ! >:D

It's never too late to tack on more t3 facs, more build power allotted to T3 Arty, ect ect

Definitely, i was interested why assist managers were not slapping more buildpower on artillery builders

If you want to make it better you should really increase the basebuilding efficiency by a lot. Making unassisted t3 mex in base and not capping it because there's a t1 pgen, tmd and hive blocking the slot. Building first t3 pgen with only 1/2 t3 engies which results in it taking 5 years, still making t2 pgen after the first t3 pgen has finished, making multiple t3 pgens at the same time, making multiple useless t1 radars t2 arties and t2 pd in base, etc etc

After the first 2 t3 pgens, t2 pgens are all reclaimed. After the first 2 t2 pgens all t1 pgens are reclaimed. now yea i do understand the t1 radars and t2 arties i think i need to make some conditions for those and i usually let him build pd just incase. i'll also have to increase radius for TMD around Mexes. So they are still near but not Adj to them :P.

Also The Assist Functions are extremely strong after the Cybran Swarm started building his first t3 pgen. The assist drag any idle engineers around to assist and it finished under 40 seconds :D
