There's a certain player I always get in ranked that quits immediately if it's a map he doesn't like. This gets right on my nerves as it means he's ranked way lower than he should be and when he does deign to play he invariably stomps me. However the other day on Canis River I killed one of his expansion engineers and maybe three LABs, and before the 1:30 mark he quit. I felt far more satisfied than I should have. :D

Well sometimes it's not really because it's lost for sure , but just because one player can't be arsed to "work" so hard to try.

You're often better off starting a whole new game than trying very very hard. I actually have more consideration for a player that quits when it's lost than one who tries anything to delay the end.

I like to put myself in the "delay as long as possible" and "never give up" groups.

Quitting is just a waste of everyone's time.

Different people, different views.

I see resisting and delaying as the real time wasting. Everybody would be better off starting a new game. Sorry not really interested in playing survival, no matter if I am the attacker or the defense cowboy.

Don't get me wrong, I did do that before, and I happened to win against all odds, but overall I feel it's not worth it. Which is obviously my personal opinion.

i think to quit is ok when it is lost anyway.

playing a 3v3 with "share until death" and 2 mates r dead - why trying to play on 1v3?
they get their acu under shield and tmd and spam air or get together a t4. why waiting... i call it "gg" and go for the next. no sense to keep it up another 10 min or whatever....

but just to quit because of the map or losing some labs is to early..

You've never really lost until they've killed your com.

I've played a 1v1 ages ago on EOTS when I had 5 mex points and t2 defenses holding off their land navy and air. They started building t3 artillery, and after a bit I sniped them. Yes they should have won but they didn't .

And how many times have you been able to pull out those miraculous endings ? What's the ratio ? :D

It's OK if you feel that's worth it. I personally don't.

when i play vs random ppl i might fight on too.. certainly when they start to get stat t3 arty.

when i play vs ppl i know and can predict what they do, and see i cant stop it. why waiting?

once i played with a mate vs megatron and isen. they double comed him (i was too far away to help accordingly). they pushed further and outspamed me in air and got map control. sure i could do some bunkering and defend my base for some more mins... but as i know them, they wont get stat t3 arty.. so why should i play on? is more fun to play the rematch...

it is just an opinion and giving a good fight is ok - but in a hopeless situation it is fine to leave as well.

Too often people judge a game to be unwinnable, when actually its not. Chances are if you're on the defensive then your scouting isn't too great, so you don't actually know what state they are in.
