Survey: Which faction is your favorite one?

I'm an old UEF player. It's my favorite faction since Supreme Commander was released and I also played UEF when Galactic War was online.
There were a lot of balance changes in the last years. So I wonder if your favorite faction also never changed or if you say I'm playing an other faction since patch xy.

Why I started playing UEF? It's easy to answer, I like the art design. So what are your reasons why you are playing Cybran for example?

I am used also to UEF since the first sup com, i think it happened because of the atlantins and titans,then i thought it's cool that u have big tanks that are crushing stuff in hordes, also their projectiles and air units were known to me, something familiar to me.on the other hand i like the design of aeon units, but i just can't learn how to paly it right x)

i used to play cybran exclusively, but with recent balance changes i like to bomb cybran t1 pgens and mexes with UEF t1 bombers for just two passes,
i like to send my sparkies to build TML to one-shot cybran HQs, t3 pgens and t3 mexes.
UEF mongoose got pretty good, and t1 arty got it 205 HP back even tho it still keeps fire rate buff.
Titans got buffed and loyas were nerfed
Janus got buffed and Corsairs got nerfed
i prefer UEF t1 inties cause of higher frontloaded damage and cause it gives exacly 50 damage.

Cybran also got beetles changed, Rhinos got their lasers back so they miss alot, stealth field now consumes more power ( i think even more than shield)
Jester got nerfed, t1 cybran bomber is still worst.
UEF got nano upgraide rebalance so it is actually usefull sometimes

So, Nomads is the thing which kept me in FAF when i was about to rage quit it for good. This project is still being developed after this many years. Exotic did more work than FAF team during last year. There are a lot of improvements on top of faction. Some of them were already integrated in FAF like SCU presets and some are waiting their hour like army colour projectiles!

They might not be finished yet. Not everybody might like it. But new faction with its own campaign is an awesome new content for half dead 10+years old RTS game.

I like them as a faction because they bring different game play. ACU that can run away from most land units with speed upgrade or get a temporary boost once you charge its ability, EMP tanks that force you shield your army, hover lab, underwater MML and T4 getto gunship! XDD

Kinda odd but when I discovered Supcom and played for the first time, I went straight to skirmish because I don't like tutorials and didnt want to suffer a campaign to anything.
When unfolding the faction selection menu there was nothing but the logos there. And at the time the game I really liked and played a lot was Unreal Tournament - in which one of the aiming sights is triangle shaped, like the cybran logo. So I just picked the triangle-shaped logo faction and rolled with it.

Didnt understand anything to the game and played game after game against the AI on the same faction same map until I got somewhere. Really fell in love with cybrans and any other factions I play just doesnt feel as right as this one does, since it's the faction I've played for like my 10 or 20 first games of Supcom back in 2009.

So up to this day I still play Cybran almost exclusively, not because it makes any different for me as far as my skill goes, but because playing supcom for me is playing cybran.

also appearantly beetles were nerfed to uselessness and it seems like requiring years until someone gets a propper rework for them so people actualy choose to build them besides the boring standart stuff .. heck rhinos and cerberusturrets even lost their instahitting but t2 phim turrets can keep it ... i seriously wonder after the many casts i last saw how many cybran players do actualy use decievers these days? .. cause these casts with cybran in them showed next to no deciever use ..


i always kinda looked at cybran being the sorta nod/zerg faction but it seems it has more and more become red alert soviets ...


uef imo lacks a t3 mammothstyle tank ..
percy is a neat TS titan reference ..
t3 titan is boring ..
t2 pillars are more like spammable mediumtanks from red alert than heavy tanks with punch .. sooo boring aswell

otherwise realy uef imo just have rather boring unitdesigns for the most part

Aeon is ok i think ..

phim .. i don´t get why they have a t3 tank but uef don´t ..
i don´t get why they lack a lab .. them having a assassin doesn´t realy compensate for that ... though labs in general a rather meh in this game
why don´t they have a t3 bot (instead of or along with the t3 tank) like the aoen multipedal harbinger or like the cybran bypidal loyalist ...
would have been cool if they had either a t2 or t3 unit that like the t4 bot spawns a electric vortex after its destruction or selfdestruct so being kinda beetleesque
just such weird choices having been made for that faction ...

first I agree with ZLO, I also played mostly Cybran (like 80%games),

when i start playing SC I was only playing campaign, never played GPG, played campaign many time with all factions, but I just loved the look of Cyb's units, years latter when I heared about FAF (I think it was on one of FAF's youtuber chanel), I join in and played mostly Cyb for few years. And now FAF is game play longest, about 7 years, with some breaks)

But the last 2 years, playing Cyb, was for me more and more frustrating (probly cause I got higher rating and game become harder) , cause in midgame I feel I have no option to play other then turtle up and wait until T3 land, and late game, well Cyb had no late game other then mazer suicide

And the recent Cyb balance didnt helped, lot of nerfs (justified, or not), there was no buff to Cyb's mid game.

when I was asked why Cyb T2 PD is so weak, I was told, it is because Cyb's MML was OP, well other MMLs got buff, yet T2
was not touched, Cyb ACU is just garbage, no def upgrade, so very risky to use after like 6-8mins, T1 mAA dont defend against mercy, no mobile shield, slow projectile speed flak, rhino...yea it not just hit terrain, but now it misses a lot, just zoom in...

So I start playing more Aeon, I love their destro and I loved Harbs (RIP), oh yea Harb, in recent T3 balance patch Harb got nerfed to oblivion, now it will not beat Bricks mass/mass even when Bricks not kiting, not even with shield (dont wanna imagine if they would kite), sniper bots not justify this

well and now I more enjoy playing UFF, why? pretty much what ZLO wrote, I just prefer non-UEF navy tho, their destro could get some love

I am complaining (not for UEF), but I am not PRO so...

or sera have gotten tons of radioactivity and mutated but they somehow are still from the same species as human.

Would say ethnic is the easiest to relate to. You’d need to add some clarification clause to “species genocide” that defines it as applying to some conscious group of animals or whatever. Unless you want to go to the Hague for exterminating the ants in your house.
