Game switches to desktop on joining lobby

Nothing major just a minor annoyance. Since moving over to Downlords client months ago, I find whenever I join a game lobby, at the instant the lobby loads I get forced back to my desktop where i can now see the Ice adaptor. i then have to click on the game tab to get back to it. Is it just me this happens to? Any way to stop this happening? it just slows down me getting into the lobby so i don't always get one of my preferred slots. thanks!

Just run the game in windowed mode

not sure if serious or just trolling.

FA happens to have core engine bugs which hurt it's sim stability while in full-screen. when I used to be on windows I would have a lot of crashes, then I switched from windowed to fullscreen and the crashes stopped.

as a separate factor the performance is slightly better, and (shameless plug incoming...) with the use of one of the many fake-fullscreen scripts out there : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9778 you get the same behavior as fullscreen anyways (dual and triple screen, included of course) and with faster alt-tab time.
