Saving hotkey presets

Anyone know if and how I can save my current hotkey setup. So that if I mess around with my hotkeys, I can easily switch back? Thanks.

You can change the hotkeys by launching a game and going into the menu with the escape key. Any changes you do to the hotkeys will be saved and iirc the next game you launch will have the key for the unit displayed on the build-bar in the unit icon.

You can go to the hotbuild section, it’s what FAF uses for hotkeys.

you can "save" your current hotkey setup by making a backup of the game.prefs file which stores all game related settings
you can find that file in

Another question is the Hotbuilt preset in FAF any good at a competetive level?

Yes, plenty of players get to top 5% without adjusting the hotkeys.
