Seriously, just do it. FA/F works brilliantly on it, there is no more reason to cling to that shitty shit shit 64-bit hack of a 32-bit kluge to a 16-bit clone of an 8-bit OS written for a 4-bit CPU by a two-bit company that cannot stand one bit of competition.

All other games already ran for me on linux. all 150 of them. 84 of them were already native. (this is not counting all the non-steam games I own.)

FA was just the final frontier for me.

Unfortunately from what I understand java client (partially) working on linux is just an accident and it's not officially supported yet, kinda sucks when a map download bug prevents me from joining half the games

neither client are officially supported on linux (though there are active strides by linux-using downloard-faf contributers on the java client) but if you can't download maps it isn't due to either client at all, it's because you have to redo maps and mods simlinking :
