I strongly agree with anihiline. In wc3 a unit loses speed during attack animation allowing disengaging as a concept: Zou take a hit and then the other unit loses velocity and you can run away unless a big difference in move speed. In faf this mechanism was represented by selecting a different target. This is now gone. This removes another comeback mechanism, and these mechanisms are essential for an exciting gameplay experience. Much like the T4 bp nerf, the cheese nerds like beetles and all that it makes the game more stale. I strongly advice against such a mod. I mean great work strogo, you made a powerful mod that's super useful. But you could say that about autoclickers as well, in the end it's just cheating because a person knowing about the mod and it's ideal usage has an unfair advantage. What more needs to be said about it?

This mod adds consistency and makes the game easier to balance competitvely change my mind

It doesn't add consistency when one player can just draw another player with half of the normally required units because of snipe mode. It just adds another cheap way out of a defeat for the worse player. It's almost as if it adds a cheese opinion. Hold my beer, I like that idea. Ok the mod is fine.

you can say the same about any mod. If you don't have your acu in a "Snipemode - susceptible" Position you won't get snipemoded. In the end its just positional error that leads to salt

Yeah but having no snipe mode meant acu was much safer and much fun came from narrow acu escapes

Snipe mod doesn't oneshot ACU if 1 your unit is in range. So narrow escapes are still possible. Especially if your enemy overestimates his army = donating everything he had for nothing. Even more fun as its more challenging.

Also no fun when your opponent lulz away on 50 hp bcoz your tank chose to attack that other shit in the last moment

Yeah but after you've played hundreds of games without snipe mode your gut feeling fools you. Most people are like ok I can buffer a little more only to realise 10seconds later that their ACU is down to 1000hp and they are fucked. I guess we all just have to get used to a new world.
