Alternate proof of ownership

I've been away from FAF for about 5 or 6 months and when I came back just recently, I found out you need a linked steam account with a copy of Supcom FA to play. Can I provide some alternate form of proof, like a photo of the hardcopy of the disk I own? I don't have supcom on steam and I'd prefer not to shell out the 3 bucks.

Enter the retail CD key into steam and you can get yourself the gold edition for free my man
