In my opinion the chime noise is a bit high and jarring, especially when it plays through headphones. It sounded fine over my little laptop speakers but pretty awful when it gets louder. I'd prefer a shorter, less high noise chime.

Hello,

first off, thanks fort he new client. It looks very sleek and has a lot of neat functions!
I went over the design of the main page and created a mock up with imo increased usability (up for debate!). In the revised version, I blacked out the users in the lower right corner.

    - Replaced background image
    - Colored the active tabs (chat, #aeolus)
    - Colored the cursor for typing, also pushed it a little more to the center
    - Removed redundant time stamps (each minute shown one time max)
    - Moved the “FAF connection / Chat connection” to the top
    - Uncluttered the upper right corner by separating “_ [] X” [adjusted spacing between the three elements] and the user panel
    - Added an “x” in the user type search (always wanted that :) )
    - Replaced the filter icon and reduced the brightness (maybe a bit too much)
    - Rearranged the user list:
      o Reduced spacing
o Put own user name at the top
      o Use arrows to show/hide
o Added sword icons (different variations, just to see what works)
      o Added mini map
o Removed the orange/green orbs (never understood what they stand for)
    - Added a thicker scroll bar (I can’t scroll the right bar while using half window mode at the moment!)
    - Added arrows for all scroll bars for sensitive 1-click scroll
    - Divided user list and chat window with the scrolling bars

Would be fun if you could alter the color theme (active tabs, cursor). Also, would be nice if you could replace that odd placeholder user pic.
Finally, maybe an option for removing flags in the chat would be nice. Can be very colorful when a lot of different flags appear with avatars (visual overkill).

minor bug
If you try to "visit clan website" or "Message clan leader" for some clan (here mine "BFA" and "WW" another french clan)
you will be redirected toward other clans.

Would it be possible to get back the feature of the older client thats allow you to right click on a username and select "view replay in vault"?
Was 2 click to view someone replay, now it way more complicated.

Since I purchased my game on Steam and installed it on my non-SSD hard drive (F: in my case), the client default install location in not correct. For such a Steam install, I had to navigate to [F:Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance] and install it in that folder. Unfortunately, the install does not put a shortcut on the desktop. To run the client, you have to open Downlord's FAF Client and then run the client!! For a workaround I copied the entire Downlord's FAF Client folder to my desktop so I just have to open it and start the client. Is there a better way to get a shortcut to the Client on my desktop??

Right click the client exe
Make shortcut
Move shortcut to desktop.

With Windows 10 you can also just pin it to the taskbar

the replay vault is technically functional
but you need to use the right parameters (most users select user ID when they want to search by user name and thus receive an error)

you can scroll down the list to find better filter options -> you can even tick the box to display your search query and edit as you like

if you think something is not working then please post a screenshot of your search attempt and the error message you get (or description of issue in case no error shows up)

Sorry Androish, but the shortcut created the way you say does not work!! When I try to run it by clicking on it, I get a message asking what app I want to use to run it. Guess I'll stick to my workaround.
