Why does FAF not use FAF art?

To prove the point, lets take a look at various FAF places and see what we use for imagery.

That image is a render made from the creator of Supcom 2's Revamp Expansion Mod, not FA or FAF related.

I didn't have an image because i modded it out of my client, but the client currently uses this image, again, from Supcom 2's REM

This isn't even going into for example FAF related youtube, and stream content. Thumbnails come to mind.

So, why is this, are we doing people a disservice or worse, a busted art theft deal here?
And where is the FA imagery, are we lacking talent? tell me ze opinions.

I don't know for the client, but regarding the website image I've personally asked for the consent of the artist behind it and he gave it, so I'm going to say it's okay we use that image. It's not "FAF art", but it's supcom-related art, so it sounds good enough to me.

presumably now would be a good time to find some faf related art that is just as good in quality to replace non faf art there. presumably the part where its hard or not possible to find is why its not been used

There is a screenshot thread. Might have some useful pictures and I'm pretty sure that whoever made the picture is fine with it being used for the advertising. Of course they do need to be asked.

Although I'm not entirely sure how good it is to use Sid's edited screenshots. They look very good and vibrant, but in-game screenshots should be accurate to the in-game view in terms of colour balance etc.

I would agree that faf pictures need to be edited to be honest, not for vibrancy and etc but to try and lift the harsher blacks/whites that come with the effects and stuff. let me punch you out an example.

I'm sure anyone can create a better image but hey the original is on the right, i just played around with dumping out the saturation on the left and it feels a lil more visible to me personally, but hey what do i know. Oh btw loki textures are overscaled
