Merry early Christmas!

I just merged the (hopefully) last PR for the next patch!

This one gives you a new fancy feature: a weapon priority toggle

The new additional mode is called sniping mode and prioritizes ACUs/Nukes/Nuke def/Mex/Power
Very useful if you want to destroy stuff that would usually be lower on your target priority list without having to manually target

edit: also merged another pr that was ready for merge for some time now https://github.com/FAForever/fa/pull/2621
just a cosmetic change to bring the lobby option for ai takeover in line with other option toggle names

Please don't slander my good name or tarnish the reputation and quality of my mod by claiming the sera pd "fix" that you have integrated into FAF official balance is of my making. It still misses as badly as before and whatever you did is not my fix for it.

for the people wondering how to activate the snipe mod :

the priorities are from highest priority to lowest : ACU --> strategic (tml, nuke, T4/T3/T2 arty, air staging) --> SMD --> T3 mexx --> T2 MEXX --> T3 pgen --> T2 pgen --> massfab --> shield --> all other

Edit : An ui mod with advanced function will be released soon by strogo.

Hi,

First of all, sorry for my temper PhilipJFry, I dont like when I get implicated in something I did not partake in. You can list that some changes come from my mod but not list me as contributor unless I actively am being involved or asked whether what you take is actually what fixes the beams. You cant take part of my fix and claim it is THE fix unless it is the complete fix. In my mod I have accuracy of 99% on beam weapons, 3701+1 does not.

Let me illustrate with a picture (attached).

Would it be possible to have those target priorities to be customized on a per player basis? So everyone can choose their own target priorities for different units.

What is the current list of priorities? This particular part won't solve the issue of an ACU constantly hitting an ACU while there are units around to kill too. Probably part of the enemy ACU arriving first and your own ACU keeping its target after the other units arrive. I'm sure a solution to that will be added too, but I'm just curious.

that's the target priority list of the uef acu (for its main gun)

the first target category is mostly used for campaign units
Mobile covers literally all mobile units
Once you have a target and no other target of a higher priority gets in range you will keep shooting that target

Only way to "fix" this would be to exclude some category in the line that makes it shoot Mobile which in return would cause the acu to never shoot an ACU as long as another mobile unit is close by (even engis/t1 land scouts)

I added "Units" preset into my mod exactly for such cases. Currently it looks like that:

{categories.MOBILE - categories.COMMAND - categories.EXPERIMENTAL - categories.ENGINEER}

it means attack any mobile unit except ACU, t4 and engineer. You can edit it as you want (see instruction in my post)

Seems to be a problem with the latest patch and focused point defence fire. I was playing a survival game tonight grouped my sera t2 pd and a few cyb t3 pd. When they had killed the units I targeted, they continued to fire on the same spot for the next 2 mins till my defence got swamped and I lost my base. Not sure how you post a replay(sorry) but if you search Shamble and watch my last replay for today 14/01/19 and skip to about 8.20 mins in you'll see the problem.
