New Player - No Rating - Wrongly accused of being a Smurf

Hi all, I just had my first game on FAF - Seton's Clutch and was part of the winning team.
The game was called 'All(ish) Welcome', which sounded fine to me.
I used to play this a lot 5 years ago, and just came back to it this week.
I was in the middle and spammed a load of t1 units like I remembered back in the day.
Eventually I blew up my opposing commander (he built a t1pd in the middle and so got most of the mass at the start)
However, by the end one player on the losing side started accusing me of being a smurf and called me a bunch of names
I couldn't respond because I had no idea how to open the chat (I've been told to press Enter since then, so I'll give that a go next time).
This guy then talked about getting me banned, but where's the jury, and someone else in the chat lobby said they'd done it. How would I know?
The plus side is I now have a rating of something like 380.
My question is, does it really matter that a player is trying to smear me? Should I just ignore it? (feels like I'm talking to an agony aunt now LOL).

Just dudes mad they lost a game. Doubt you even got reported by them.

Expect it until you have 50+ games under your belt, building units is too advanced for some and the only counter is to call you a smurf, shouldn’t think too much of it. Faf is a lovely community...

Aw thanks guys. I just chatted with the player and explained and all is good now. It's all because of my zero rating of course. But I love the game so hopefully my rating will get a bit more real soon. Thanks again.

When joining a lobby just tell the others you used to play a lot 5 years ago. Don't do it and you'll be called a smurf as your rating (0) is clearly not refelcting your skill level. A host can't balance a game if you don't talk to him/her. =)

Hey I remember that game! That guy was furious, but I think it was pretty clear from your play that you were no Smurf. If anyone actually takes a look at the game from a banning perspective you are safe I reckon.

Though I do agree with the above that it is good to let players know in lobby that you used to play, so hosts know for balance.

Oh I am afraid I have understood why. They went crazy because you did not stay at your base to build a super experimental or a nuke or some orbital.
To some people this often equates to grand strategy, while spamming t1 at the beginning is cheap.

They don't wonder how cheap is , though , to have 1 hour of inactivity and 5 mins of action in the end.
