Cant get FAF to run

After rebooting my computer, my FAF icon looked like a small window with blue in the center. When I clicked on it, I got an error message saying "The item 'FAForever.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to remove this shortcut"

I downloaded the FAF clint and did a repair to no avail. Then I uninstalled FAF and reinstalled it with the same results. Next I uninstalled everything, including Forged Alliance. I reinstalled the Steam version of Forged Alliance and then reinstalled FAF. Same results. Have no idea how to fix this problem.

Any suggestions?

Forgot to mention the Forged Alliance runs fine, just not FAF.

Problem solved. Norton decided that the FAF client was a virus and was removing it!! So I told Norton to take a hike and let it stay. Problem fixed.

That's something that antiviruses seem to like to do. Maybe the fact that FAF executable is basically a Python interpreter set up to run actual client code makes them throw a fit.
