Back in GPGnet times there were some hacks I think. I believe there was a hack that let you see where your enemies structures and units were without having to scout. I could be wrong though, that was a long time ago and I had no personal experience with it.
I think there used to be debug commands. You could simply press hotkeys (or maybe enter console commands) and see some stuff trought fog of war (e.g. hitboxes) FAF changed those commands to only be available with cheats enabled only, and they should trigger "%player_name% is cheating!" message on the screen.
There is a video that shows someone memory-hacking Supcom2 to show full map without a desync. I don't see why you can't do it with FA. But I wouldn't worry about it.
Because of how the p2p works, there are no cheats possible that write to sim memory (=> desync), only reading from memory, so yeah, only intel/information cheats are possible basically. But since scouting is cheap anyway...
Edit: With cheats i mean custom programs that manipulate/read Supcoms memory, not exploits.

Yes, but all known exploits got fixed, well at least those that were possible to fix, like cheap acu upgrades, infinite resources from building things and such.
Then there are couple of things that can't be fixed, but ppl get banned for using them, here's a list /viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11322
