So about a week ago after a completely unrelated discussion a point was made that if someone was not happy with the level of information communicated by the developers, that person should do something about it. So I took them up on it and now I get to stalk Slack all day for all those tasty little nuggets of information that would otherwise slip through the cracks and post about them here .
So without further ado, this week in Slack.
ICE Testing
There was a lot of it. It's also really boring because when you test it you can't shitpost in aeolus.
I have no idea how far along it is or how close it is to completion but the fact that I now have a lot of little .msi's with ever increasing numbers implies something is happening.
If you want to help out with ICE testing and get a disgusting avatar I'm sure if you scream in aeolus loud enough someone can hook you up.
Mod Development
Most of this was taken up by Cookienoob and OzoneX putting the finishing touches on 'Santa is Coming Reloaded' which is now available on the mod vault and kind of obsolete now that Christmas is over but hey, there's always next year.
Map Development
OzoneX released a new version of his map editor which probably does things that make map makers happy and you can read all about that here: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=10647&start=230#p158853
Not really a Slack exclusive but the mapping channel in the slack is particularly active so I thought it should be mentioned.
Off-Topic and Shitposting
Surprisingly a place where devs discuss work doesn't have a lot of off-topic shitposting, not to say there isn't some.
Some questioned my arrival and the validity of why I was there, some more than others but I suspect that to die down now that the first post like this has come out.
Also someone posted a meme that I'm sure is hilarious if you work in the tech industry.
Closing statement
Well that was this week. If you have any questions feel free to leave them in this thread.
