Cartography Corner

Ozonex is/has releasing(ed) support for custom decals among other things in maps.
What does this mean? It means that we are one step closer to the best map ever being made and I am totally not biased on this and totally not abusing this platform to push personal things. If I was, I would be telling you it was my birthday yesterday and you all forgot.

This is apparently highly experiment so expect to either not see it soon or see it crash.

So after the Dev/FAF conference/call (jury still seems to be out on the name) the UnitDB mentioned a couple of weeks ago has had progress made in the sense of implimentation into the FAF client and faforever.com however all that requires things I am not qualified to talk on.

That being said the DB is currently hosted here: http://90.103.145.211 so you can go try it out.

The voicing of opinions
As those of you who watched the FAFcon (I don't care that I said the jury is still out, this is what I'm calling it) may've noticed, some of the devs weren't actually talking, some of their own volition, some because spite being some of the most technically minded people in the community can't seem to get voice-call software to work. So now like literally every post voice-call they're now looking for alternatives spite Skype sucking camel AIDS and no one under the age of 60 cares about Teamspeak or Mumble. So if you have some super duper obscure voice-call thing that magically ticks the boxes of all the devs all their super obscure set-ups, feel free to let someone know.
