Explosions in-game on GTX 1070 Laptop look weird.

Postby dharo757 » 22 Dec 2017, 22:52

Hello FAF,

Can someone confirm for me that the explosions on a laptop GPU look different than the desktop counterpart? Or is my laptop GPU going out on me? Every time that a unit blows up through an attack, there's a black and white haze where the explosion is supposed to be. Everything else works fine except for that. On my desktop I was able to see that it looks normal.

I own a Alienware 17 R4 1070/7700HQ laptop.

Any help? When I get home from work I can upload an image.

Thanks.

Does the haze have horizontal lines going though it? If so, it's a problem with an interaction between the drivers and one of the settings. Can't remember exactly which, and it's more common on NVidia cards, though happens on both

if anyone knows what exact line of cards/ setting is causing this I'd like to know.

I always assumed it was something never fixed post-release and a bug that was here to stay and that affected everyone.

I just saw it in all casts. it doesn't happen on every nuke but nearly.
