So i took it upon myself to start up a place wherein FAF as a community can chip into the GW project (where they might not be able to otherwise) and help submit, review, etc different maps for inclusion into the GW "pool" where i assume the system will filter them according to biome, size, etc.

Feel free to submit maps for inclusions here. Be vain and submit your own too, every map counts.
Maps of a solid standard of "craft" and are proven to be working will be listed in this OP, i'll post some guidelines as to making sure your map meets the standard if you wish to submit them here soon.

I, a long time ago, made a guide for new players to get started on mapping during the dark age of not having a way to upload maps to the vault, a lot of points still are valid so in the meantime, read here: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=12604#p128811


Feel free also to object to a map being submitted, negative opinions are welcomed here but make sure to understand there is a lot of space to fill out, and that the standard gameplay of GW is a little different to a regular FAF game, that might require strict balance, etc. Keep your criticism constructive, maps you might not like might be developed into ones you do with your help here.

Here is the list of Biomes and maps that have been "approved", if you wish to help "approve" maps do so in this forum or pm me

Evergreen / Standard Grassland:
Seton's Clutch (20km, 8 players)
Open Palms (10km, 6 players)
Loki (10km, 2 players)
Four-Leaf Clover (10km, 4 players)
Roanoke Abyss (20km, 8 players)
Regor IV Highlands (10km, 4 players)
Forbidden Pass (10km, 4 players)
Selkie Isle (20km, 8 players(?))
Tundra:
Niflheim (10km, 2 players)
White Fire (10km, 6 players) ~~ Can probably put the large reclaim and not much reclaim versions in here.
Cobalt Valley (10km, 2 players)
Icelands (10km, 6 players) ~~ Can someone remaster this?
Red Rocks/Red Barrens:
Theta Passage (5km, 2 players)
Theta Passage 2v2 (5km, 4 players)

It would be nice to add campaign maps (or parts of them at least) in accurate locations for extra immersion.

Phantom is a gamemode, maybe you meant Roanoke Abyss?
Please no Badlands - it's in the name that they are bad. Their 3 narrow lane structure will favor turtling in team games.
HardFFA is for a very specific game mode - phantom or FFA, maybe murder party. It is DEFINITELY not for

Other maps:

Wonder
Bermuda Locket (some interesting 2v2s there)
The Ditch (I played 3v3s there, it leads to rather interesting games)
The Scar (3 in mid - defenders - vs. 3 outside - attackers)
Pointless Dirt v3 - a 5x5 map for quick duels, vital expansions and no insane amounts of mass.
Don't complain about that which you aren't willing to change.

Hey, as mentioned before, GW are not linear teamgame setups a lot of the time, and players might not spawn mirrored with eachother or otherwise, for that reason, maps like hardffa or badlands or etc should be fine to post here. (also fancylands exists ;)) If you're unsure what it's really like, look up some GW footage from way back on youtube, i know ZLO has some, maybe some others.

I very much agree here, good place for not GPG coop mappers to get theirs in too ;)

You could quite literally not be more wrong about how badlands plays out in team games.

Thanks, now i have two similar spreadsheets, still worth making something new, its been a long time, new content is ready to be used and some old content is no longer able, will refer to these in order to help speed up "testing and approval" still

If it's either then of course I don't want it on the list.

It's ludicrous fun to play though.... such a shame.

It's on the verge of it, some of the terrain messes with pathing, kinda similar to cloud kingdom. It can be fixed up for inclusion just fine though.
