was already argued over several times.
We shoudn't make air unit untargetable while in carrier/on fatboy.
best solution so far is to give a special resistance to land unit against air unit.
but for some reason icedreamer wasn't that much happy about doing this change.
he prefered to reduce damage and HP of air unit, but that a retarded way of thinking gameplay wise, since air unit would die really easily to land unit (when they land, or arty/tml shot in the air for example)

1st because i'm not sure it's possible to make it only when they are in carrier/fatboy/cruiser, you will maybe need to remove the targetting of air unit that are landed by inte/swiftwing/asf; and that something we don't want to do (need confirmation)

2nd if it's possible to do that only for fatboy/carrier/cruiser (which i'm not sure as i said) it would be retarded that asf can shoot land air unit but not at a landed air unit on a fatboy for example.

Naturally, i couldn't disagree more. An ASF landing on the ground would still maintain the same signature using any intel. An ASF going inside a carrier would obviously not. Not losing target in this case is retarded imo.

I would argue the same since they are essentially becoming part of a different unit for that time. Either way though, i think carriers primary function being completely game breaking is far worse than air units losing targets on things that occasionally use a cruiser or fatboy.

I have never understood the logic of anti-air flyers being able to attack landed flyers but not engies and the like - the only rationale I can think of is that it is easier and more performant to implement - if it's air and I'm anti-air I can shoot it without having to waste cycles on checking whether the target is on the ground or not. Conversely (or is that perversely) mobile AA can't shoot landed flyers.

ETA - how about giving carriers a small bubble shield that is enough/effective to stop AA projectiles?

to answer you rocket, making inte/asf not able to kill landed aircraft is one of the worst change ever tried. EQ did that few months ago, the gameplay was retarded as f*** (just land bomber/gunship/transport to avoid being caught).
