So, I played for about a week. My winrate is near 30%. A couple of weird things (ofc all on my team):
- front guy on wonder goes double gun. From the start. Builds 0 combat units for 7 min. I am getting swarmed by 2 players. And hes 1000 rating?!?

- everyone dies to gunships

- my first and game-chaging exp, a monkeylord gets stuck in shallow water, trying to go on land. No cliffs or smthing. After 2 minutes of unstucking I have to ctr + K it.

- my comm stops to shoot and ultimately dies.

- front guys gets t3 mexes when his mirror takes out 1/2 of my base with ..? you guessed it. UNITS. (cant respond cause holding own mirror). Then the ecowhore builds a monkeylord and ..... dunno. Contemplates it for 8 min? (no exp and handful t3 on other team, equal air). Then he makes a second one and charges both into ravagers + fatboy. Both die before reaching fire-base. Twin Rivers
- air gets t3 mexes. All front dies to enemy air, who stayed on t2 mexes. (early gunships)
- "Balance" gives me a 300 that afks
- "Balance" gives me a 500 that afks
- "Balance" gives me a 000 that afks
- guy dies to 1 -> 2 -> 5 cruisers. Or ctrl +K's? Ofc, once he lets to 5 cruisers he screams to me: "useless air, help! help!". Yup. Let me build 50 t2 torps (sera cruisers, some vetted) and not let front, sitting with a comm and mobile shield in enemy base die. Btw, it was Funeral plains or smthing. Not setons
- I die to min 7 corsairs. Air afks. (despite me dodging and pinging at the same time. f*** pings, I guess?)
- guy dies to scouted, pinged, said in chat air snipe (3 min before the snipe commences)
I wasnt playing for half a year. When I was leaving my general guide-rule was:
< 1000 rating: unreliable player
>= 1000 rating: reliable player
by "reliable" I mean: not doing thing above. Averagely competent.
Now, all those guys were 1000 rating or above. Wtf?
For 1 balanced, without stupid shit (not cheese, just stupidity or bitching) game I get ... hmmm... 4? shitty ones.
I cant even enjoy them. So disheartening they are. btw, I rarely get to exp stage. Games end (guess how?) long before that.
I remember other FAF. FAF with nice, knowledgable people. Pleasant games, even one that were lost. No plebs with rating above "noob".
I rarely enjoy a game now. They end quickly and stupidly.
I am not a pro. But not a fool as well. I feel helpless when suck things happen. I cant fix them.
Games are not expanding my game knowledge ("team lost to stupid stuff" is a basic, common knowledge. Not for everyone, I guess?). They arent pleasant (it stops to matter how I play. I either cover up for smone or helplessly watch dudes die to their, truly unimaginable, stupidity). And for, ... sake, they even dont last long! I spend like 3.5 times more time on waiting for a game than playing one.
My question is:
Is it so for everyone? (I am asking older players. Dont come at me with your Gap tragedies) Is community, both in manners and in skill degradate?
or is it just a long lasting miscluck streak/ being tired of the game after a couple of years.
btw, one more thing. I have over a thousand (!!!) games played. I can come into a lobby and often I can tell you how the game ends (air/side disbalance). I am 70% correct on my prediction. But host thinks its a "balanced" game. Even if its clearly not ...
same goes for in-game development. I can see when the game is lost. Its surprising how many people dont (ooh, they have 3 strats, 7 asf, and our air has 10 inties!. No tech 3 on field for us. Singular t3 mexes to almost full t3 for them. Near to 0 combat units. BUT WE CAN STILL WIN!). Games often are decided in the lobby and all I can play is a slow (or fast, if lucky) agony of my team. And ofc I cant host another game cause noone plays.
