The difference between the distribution on global rating and 1v1 goes to show , that there is no meaning in implementing the global rating as it is now. The only rating should be 1v1 with team games contributing only a small amount to overall rating.
Of course all this has not much meaning if the capability to play is hindered by connection issues and such. Logging into games should work more effortlessly , so players gather a significant sample of games that is possible to be evaluated objectively. It is easier to correct 1v1s , instead of big team games for obvious reasons. Ideally we would like all games to work, but we should start with the wasy tasks first.

there are graphs about player's rating evolution over time, but are there graphs about player's rating deviation evolution over time?
Edit: Would that help detecting players losing on purpose? or if player is being reported as losing on purpose this rating info can maybe show that he always was playing like that or something like that...

The way the 2016 spike lasts exactly the whole year of 2016 makes me wonder if it's not a data issue rather than a genuine spike.
