I understand that if I am unable to perform these duties, I will resign or be replaced promptly.

other than that sounds good, something about being semi-expected to go above and beyond the bare minimum would be nice too.

I'd expect anyone who is still interested in becoming PC to do more than the bare minimum to be honest.

As a nominee for The Players Councilor, I pledge that:

I will spend at least 4 hours per week working on These Responsibilities.
I will be available at least 2 hours every other week for a voice call to discuss These Responsibilities and the responsibilities of other FAF Councilors.
I will use and be available on the FAF Slack (chat) as much as possible.
I will do my best to help the other Councilors perform their responsibilities.
I understand that if I am unable to perform these duties, I will resign or be replaced.

Sincerely,

Tokyto

I think it's fine to take a vacation, just have someone in your place or inform the other council members so they can find the appropriate temp replacement.

Will a thread be opened for nominees to present some kind of "manifesto", and how much longer can we expect to wait until voting opens?

I feel the pledge is just a nice formality and shouldn't be necessary in a community project like this.

Time investments into the project should be out of passion for the game, not because of some formality. Albeit this doesn't cancel it out in anyway it makes it seem artificial in some way.

Pledge or no pledge I don't think people would put in the hours without passion/interest in the "job".

This is just my opinion, maybe for others the pledge might give a positive feeling of duty/responsibility?

I thought this was just a discussion thread about the draft, but since Tokyto already signed it so will I.

Start one or individual nominees should start one themselves if they find it necessary.

I'm having a hard time believing how anyone could compete with Tokyto at this point, though.

Lets have some respect towards other candidates, Morax.

as the pledge: ill sign when you have created a "finished document" and not a "draft", im also going to need to chat "voice calls" as staying up to 4am will not be a good idea on some random weekday, we will need to negotiate a scheduled time that suits us both and have prior notices if either cannot attend, etc.

Looking forward to see the finished document/discussing
