I made some background images and was told to post them here

The first one is an edit of the popular joyden UEF logo. I wanted a version with wear and a different hue so I edited it myself using Paintnet and some plugins. I decided to make some versions of the other factions as well. However I was not sure how to get the correct shadwos, so I just used drop-shadows Think it turned out pretty good though.

Could not find the art-thread someone on the Arkitect stream was talking about, and I figured the screenshot-thread was not appropriate. So post any backgrounds art here ^-^

Could not find any good resolution Nomads-logo, so I think the one with the smaller logo looks better because of the aliasing, but I also made a version with the logo sized to be the same size as the other backgrounds, however the aliasing is real.



Kept the original res on this one so it's smoother, but the logo is a bit small :-/

Indeed it was stretched a bit, I've fixed it and made the icon the same size as the others:

For some reason I like the first nomads one most. The one with the small logo. If it's not too much trouble, can you make the other backgrounds with the small logo as well?

Don´t want to be a spoilsport, but I noticed that the lightning is inconsitent. UEF has a very angled lightning, producing long shadows, the other ones look like afternoon sun. Also, in the UEF one the big diamond does not have a shadow ( you can see a channel of light between the top two smaller diamonds, which should not be there if the big Diamon throws a shadow ). The three diamonds on the left also have no break in their shadelines, as you´d expect if the light was falling through the rifts. In my oppinion it would also look more interesting if the shadow was not cast in a way that aligns with the logo that good.

I really like those overall, just the UEF one looks really out of place.

The UEF logo is an edit by me of the original logo by Joyden, I tried to replicate the lighting source in the others but I did not replicate the shadow. You are correct in that the middle square does not cast a shadow.
