I played the map for the first time (i got 2 games in what appears to be 3 hours now) and was kinda disappointed with the gameplay elements that were not considered by the mapper (he was new maybe?) and led to many frustrating "fa" errors
I'll list them in dot points because i dont have Zock tier hours or motivation to type stuff we paragraphs now bois
1~ Height differences are way too large, this leads to hilariously bad pathfinding and also targetfinding up and down hills and furthermore, leaves areas where you would "assume" engineers or other buildpower can build structures but actually cannot, this also happens on "flat" terrain, while i can understand having to move outside of spawn to build factories to stop turtle (counterpoint, its a 5x5, why is this needed?) trying to place building in viable locations takes up way too much time and (although it didn't happen to me) times where a player may be forced to build a pd or aa or othersuch things to be ruined and also raided by random heightmaps is not beneficial to competitive gameplay
2~ there is waaay too many trees, dont get me wrong, i like reclaim spamming and being able to spam out rhinos/etc at alarming rates but when there is so many trees it turns from setons tier trees to just straight up ignoring trying not to break any trees and then just spamming reclaim it becomes almost unfun, (we can also imagine two new players, one knows how to reclaim and the other doesnt, guess the mass difference? this point was a weak one, but this also leads back into number one, remember how you're forced to leave spawn to build stuff? now you're stuck reclaiming enough trees until you "might" have buildspace.
3~ midmass, really? how much is in the middle? it makes the mexes along the side worth 80% less then they should be worth and it turns from a raid focused game to a spamfest into middle to keep the mass with occasional one or two units to the side but not too far because the hills are impassable
4~ this is a minor one, i think some of the edges on the "cliffs" (spawn again) are a little too sloped and this ruins pathing for units leaving factories, so much that i had a mantis doing infinite loops
