i don´t realy play FA (stopped after GPGNet went down) but watch matches for the most part ... i can´t help but feel that more and more the matches ( and i particularly speak about groundplay here) became monotounous with players not realy varieing up their play or tactics ... the general play is either spam low tech or slowly but surely build up to experimental and then spam that ... the general play is all about assault despite the game offering a broader unitvariety at least on paper but next to none of them is realy used ... maybe every 8th or 10th game you see t3 mobile artillery be used or MML´s ... even rarer is the use of mobile shields or stealth ... harrarasment is primarily done with standart assaultunits as well instead of f.e. labs or similarly quick units with high rate of fire ...
so yea i miss people making use of the unitpool as a whole, i miss use of unitcompositions other than standart assault with some aa
it feels like players are not motivated to make use of something else allong with their standartplay
i can´t realy talk about ballance .. i can only say what i wish to see more ... say have firebettles be more used as antiarmy or structure then pure acusnipe same with mercies .. have some units have more aoe against swarms (why no one uses hoplites?) .. examples like these
the thing is the current way groundplay is shown matches often feel drawn out before something realy intresting happens and you just see always the same 3 or 4 assault units be used that just aren´t realy all that intresting to watch
making the so called "EPIC"matches rather dull to watch ...
