Totally new, Hi!... 1 question though....

Glad to be part of the community, cause this game is still amazing.

1 question though...

...And the facts are I have FAF installed and it is linked to my steam account. As far as I know I have everything up-to-date
regarding FAF and FA on Steam (natch).

Now the question, I'm really rusty and I need to play Skirmish against the AI as I am still really bad.
Can I play skirmish thru the FAF lobby or do I have to launch my session thru Steam and play that way?

And If I run thru Steam, does that mean that I have the benefits of the balance changes and update that FAF provides, as that's the reason I downloaded FAF.

Host a game via FAF and just put AI in. You can set password and no one will be able to join

Keep in mind that if you start playing ladder, you'll have to suffer through some serious beating for the first 10-20 games, because the system will match you against very strong players in order to "find out your true strength". Just persist, and things will improve quickly.

Also, don't be afraid to play with other people; just play with players with the same rating as you. You will get better soon.

you can always speed it up by asking a trainer to help you...
