Why did you stop playing FAF regularly?

- as i play less and less i start to play worse and it is annoying as hell, i want to play on high level, and i enjoy playing well, but since i can't do that anymore i start to loose interest

Basically this and lack of any care about playerbase.
Things are breaking and are treated like its ok (replay vault, map vault, connection issues). Bugs taking forever to get fixed.
I meanly played ladder and seeing how it gets no love is also not nice. Not even asking to change current system. But map rotation being depent entirely on Sheeo was actually abandoned by him at some point when he said he cba to put new maps. I have no idea how you guys convinced him not to do that. Also from time to time he simply forgets to put new maps in rotation that are stated by Zock and doesnt give a second f*** about it so the old map stays until new rotation (i can remember at least 3 cases like this).

So yeah, no wonder players lose interest and leave. And thinking about why do i still play this game if i dont care about it, i just deleted it couple days ago.

More interested in doing other (non-gaming) activities, although I was surprised how abruptly I stopped playing.

1- mostly looking for more "relaxing" activities after work.
2 - because it's all (or was) broken. I tried switching to team game but having pairs of players disconnecting nearly 1 out of 3 games was just too annoying. I don't really care much for balance if games can't be plaid to the end anyway.
3 - because I don't care for becoming a pro and don't want to force myself to play maps I don't like on ladder because a veto system would be a sacrilege

overall very slow game/meta/balance evolution, i have the feeling i play the game the exact same way like a year ago. This makes me kinda tired of FA.

-Lack of competition, one of the two most interesting people to play with is training his biceps and the other just one of them..the other people that are still interesting to play with generally play much less too, and there isn't enough fresh and motivated blood.
-less free time
-Most of my free time left goes into balancing rather than playing, and on some days the attitude of parts of the community about the balancing work and the development in general removes my motivation to play in this community altogether.

Generally i still love this game even after 8 years, and the community is great, even with its ugly excrescents, but sometimes it gets to me too.

But when its not possible to play 1v1 anymore i'll just play with and teach my clanmates now. Wish i had more time though.

First off thanks for doing this thread
My reasons are
1) small ladder map pool sucks, just caused these maps to be extremely overplayed
2) ladder rating is often stupid. I was 1400 and beat a 1600, then lost to him, and I had a net of -5 points. That makes 0 sense to me
3) faf causes people to be extremely cocky and think they are gods
4) Connection issues
5) going from being in school to have g 3 jobs (biggest reason)
