The Mexssiah has done it again. viewtopic.php?f=42&t=12509. Assist mex with engies to cap it with storage. The only reason i play this game is because of the shear enjoyment of getting T3 mex as quickly and simply as possible. The gorgeous mex overlay, and auto upgrade pause of ecomanger made this a reality. If i were to find i had launched into a game without Crotalus' beautiful mods it would take everything in my power not to control k in the face of the chore of a game ahead.

And now this assist to cap. Titillating. Almost zero actions from t1 mex to capped t3.

Some will scream "Why not just get an AI to play the game for you!?" These people are not leaders. Great leaders know the importance of delegation. And i have full faith in the ability of my engies. No such accusations were leveled at Steve Jobs for not personally manufacturing all ipod components.

These mods free up the time to allow me to do the type of things that true leaders do: Scrutinize the opponent to make sure i have more T3 Mex, tab out to find appropriate /## taunts from the taunt wiki and do some shopping on amazon.

I can't comprehend any possible further enhancements he might conjure, but if he was to go independent and kickstart Mex Manager 2017, i'd probably back it.

didn't test the feature, but what i heard it would make thing easier.

Just here to say that reducing un-grateful task is good. But the people saying "Why not just get an AI to play the game for you!?" are part true too. We always need to be careful, so we don't remove interesting micro. Because some micro require some skill that are interesting. (I'm not saying this change isn't good).

I agree with this change, the key point is that it doesn't make decisions for you - it just makes it easier to translate your thoughts to the game, which is what UI mods are for after all

If I all I want to do is have my tanks micro in loops I'm not really making decisions, I'm just clicking in a circles. But would you agree that an autododge mod is just translating my thoughts and totally fine? Don't get me wrong, once I get used to this I'm sure I'll like it, but let's not get the wrong idea here - there's only one direction to these kinds of changes.

I would argue in that case you are still taking some control from the player however negligible

I can see that after many games and hours of practice people can gain a significant unit advantage from better micro. I think i've yet to see anyone gain a significant eco advantage after hundreds of hours of capping mex.

If you have the apm to micro engies in a way to have an optimal number of assisting engies on each upgrading mex, an you only upgrade one mex at a time, you will have a huge advantage. The rate of ugprading your mexes is two time derivatives(acceleration) away from your actual economy, so the effect is huge assuming you are comparing players that don't stall and crash their ecoes all the time.
