stop ui lag (this one is real)

A non placebo difference is that my core0 which is by default assigned to render thread no longer maxes out even on larger maps in late game. In the last this used to happen on medium fidelity with low textures and low lod. Now I can set everything to high and the cpu has no problem rendering 100 fps.

Check mark all the options in the privacy lab. I have not gone through the trouble of determining which ones are critical. Please post any info you may know.

This is where I originally found this:

I have only had a couple online games since getting this but the difference is quite dramatic.

so it's come up that win10 has RAM compression which apparently hurts a lot of old games which is why I would recommend that for FA play people skive away from win10.

Don't think I have had this problem. People are saying their system process is taking up all their ram..
My system process has 124 private kbytes right now.

Win10 has only made everything run better for me across the board. I feel so bad for people that are having issues because I've ditched my normal routine of reading and processing "Windows X Release Must-Do Tweaks & Optimizations."

I'll check this UI Lag solution out, TA. Thanks for all the research on this $-free. Some things you have suggested are def working, although I'm sure with your record you don't need any assurance to keep going

It is total madness still. Any fix I have had has only worked for 1-2 days, then stops. This way I always get teased by what the performance should be like, then have it taken away.
Too many updates for everything.

how do you know its not just network latency for the ui commands to get recognized by other player? that would explain 1-2day fixes

I know that network settings have a big effect and uploading a youtube video while playing completely kills the ui.

I play with default net_LAG 500, and most players I play with and have lag to have ping around 200. Americans with low pings typically are a pleasure to play with.
A chinese player gets an automatic win from me because I will not even attempt the game.

All of the above said, there have been days when 200 pings players are also a pleasure to play with.

Also increasing net_LAG to something like 700, does help ui lag, but then it is much harder to dodge bombs.

I think this effect does not explain the 1-2 day fixes. It does explain the player to player variation.
My sample size of players per day is too large.

Also I will not be making images of my harddrive whenever I find good settings, since system restore doesn't get all the settings back it seems.(this points to windows update)

I'd say the peer-to-peer connection is and always will drive this issue. You can do some client-side tweaks here and there, but most people with trash internet/PC just ruin the experience.

not really. I just googled some and found some things that seem to imply that.
