Hello Everyone..!! My name is Odin, and I have just registered here on Forged Alliance Forever, and i'm glad to see that there is an effort to keep Forged Alliance gaming alive and well as a community. I have played F.A. for years, and I have to say it is my #1 favorite RTS to play, I play at least 2 times a week with a few other people (LAN PARTY), and we have been running the user created MODS for a long time, we also play Sins of a Solar Empire with the Maelstrom Mod, and sometimes use the Sacrifice of Angels MOD for our Star Trek fan friend..LOL. We have logged countless hours playing F.A. in many different states of being, (hammered), etc.. etc.., and we have a very keen understanding of weapons balancing, and units..
We are eager to see what Forged Alliance Forever has to offer, like what kind of MODS are allowed, what MODS work together with F.A.F., what kind of tournaments, what kind of rules (we never use cheats), etc... etc..
Currently we run Forged Alliance with these MODS together,: (Sorian A.I. 2.11),(Chain of Command),(Black Ops Unleashed Full), and my favorite --> (Total Mayhem 1.15). We have also tried other MODS like 4th Dimension, but these our "FAN" favorites. I see that there was some discussion about adding some New Units for the Seraphim, and that is great news.!!
I also see there was some discussion about a project called the "NOMADS" that would add a new playable race, and that is awesome as well, "BUT" I had heard of that project "YEARS" ago, and (not to hurt anyones feelings), I won't be holding my breath for "NOMADS"..
I would like to thank all of the people involved that have made or contributed to Forged Alliance mods, without the "MODS", Forged Alliance would be collecting dust, and I applaud those people for all of the time and effort they have put into modding F.A.!!!

Cooling: Custom Made (external) water box (2) 10x12 inch copper radiators with Thermaltake Water pump, and Enzotech water block for CPU. 3/8" Vinyl Line Heat shrunk (and clamped) to 1/2" fittings... No leaks..!!

Hiya and welcome to our little world.

Since you have installed faf you no doubt would have seen the featured mods. These mods are built into the faf client and needs no extra files or downloads to run. They are very happy campers.

If you want to run other mods, you *should* be fine. There are some mods that dont work here. Delete and remove sorians, it will crash/desync fa. There is a stable sorians ai installed as part of faf that is 100% compatible so any other versions are not required. Afaik there are no mod databases with auto installers as of yet so any funky mods you want to play with have to be downloaded and installed manually but Im sure with the Featured Mods that we have now, there is plenty there to keep you busy and entertained.
