mass vs build power

This is something I've always wondered, if you are stalling mass/energy would putting more build power on something make it go faster or slower?

Two scenario: You're only building one thing, and stalling, or you are building multiple things, and stalling
In the first situation, then no. You can't use more mass when you don't have the power , vice versa, and if you don't have either, can't use more of nothing.
In the second case, putting more buildpower (engies) basically has the effect of assigning more of your economy toward that project.

This excludes Nukes, and antinukes for some reason.
if you have an unassisted nuke, and not stalling it will go faster than having tons of engis assisting it and stalling.

for some reason ther is a point when stalling energy hard, your massextractors will even produce less mass, and therefore now cause mass stall as well. therfor just putting more buildpower into the same prooject has sometimes even a negative effect.

thsi sucks prett much if you have millions of t1 engis and want to spam a t4 up fast, it works nice if you can build the whole t4 from storage, but anytime else its mostly slower if you cripple your energy to much.

happens mostly when building paragons, t4 air, RAS, basically all ACU upgrades, or nukes. as they have a way higer energy consumption than mass,

if i remember correctly, crotalus explained the nuke behaviour by that the launcher requests 40 mass, it only gets let's say 20 (50%), and will only request the missing 20 in the next tick, but will only get 10 (50% again) and so on, and will not request another 40 until the current request is completely fulfilled
because nukes have 1080 buildpower, 216 t1 engies are needed to equal production speed, almost impossible to keep it up at full speed by adding buildpower during a stall
