Does FAF come with FA vanilla options?

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I played with FAF, but can I host/play matches using vanilla FA options? I don't want any balance fixes or anything that FAF provides.

If you don't want any balance fixes or anything that FAF provides then FAF isnt a place for you, try to play on Steam.
So the answer is no, you can't play with old broken balance and bugs.

The vanilla game works great for me and my friends. Just thought FAF could make it easier to play together and give us more maps :/

Why not just play faf? The changes to the game make it much better to play and much more fun imo, + you have many maps and mod options if you get bored and stuff

From memory, doesn't it bring all the factions closer together, in that they aren't as unique or interesting stats-wise, in the name of 'balance'?

Dunno where you heard this but NOT AT ALL. Balance that was done here kepl unique units and their abilities but just changes stats to not make them overpowered. With that Im not saying we achieved perfect balance, but its much better than it used to be.

And its not just bug fixes and balance changes that faf brings, its all the new maps and mods, that are easy to use. FAF also improved UI, integrated several usefull mods like hotbuilding, reclaim counter, split attack and many more.

Hmm okay, might check it out. Is there a condensed list of general changes? I.e. not specifics per-unit, but what was generally changed, at a glance?

dont understand why we have vanilla supcom but not vanilla FA but whatever ...
