Help out downlord and tatsu in their new lobby!

Me and Downlord need your help to design the new lobby!

The first choice is always the picture. I have no other means of embedding pictures into polls.

Question One : do we make a "ladder by rank" (considering we already made ladder by rating and maps) or is there no reason to bother at all?

I took a look but I don't understand the poll at all.

I think the presentation is too confusing to give you guys any meaningful feedback.

took me a couple of minutes to figure out:
there is an explanation of it on the bottom of their vote page as well

they have 4 questions with 2 options each, but the vote thing only allows one question, or you need to pay.

so what they are asking is(in order):

1.should the themed tabs (under the main tabs i guess) be separated with a sliding marker or be buttons? (1st and second pics)
2.do you want the settings menu to be clickable from a gear icon in the right or to be in a dropdown from the wing icon on the left? (1st, second pics, third i guess also)
3.when you click the settings button/tab, do you want a popup window, or to have it built into the client? (3rd, 4th pics)
4.do you want a divisions ladder page? (1st, second, i guess 3rd pic as well, but they all show the same thing for that)

and the possible answers are structured as follows:
(1.)(2.)(3.)(4.)

so you decide on an answer to all 4 questions, then pick the choice which suits all 4 answers.

pardon the poor photo skills, i didn't want to spend much time on this:

top picture - the glowy underline thing slides left/right along the thin line as you select the tabs
bottom picture - no glowy thing, just the tab starts glowing when its selected

why do you have a nice looking horizontal line divider in pic 3 but not the others? i like it : (
why did you make your poll so hard to understand?Why not just make 4 polls with each question separately? : D

I love the irony in your poll about UX being barely usable, well done

(answered, though, and I'm optimistic that you'll be able to offer a great improvement over the existing lobby. Good luck!)

unrelated suggestion- If the window is maximised, I should be able to throw the cursor to the top-right to hit the close button - this is immensely annoying on the current client.

this is already fixed in our version.


I'm remaking the poll into four separate polls

top picture - the glowy underline thing slides left/right along the thin line as you select the tabs
bottom picture - no glowy thing, just the tab starts glowing when its selected

yeah that's my idea. you'll see in the new poll the white { is animated and stretches to each edge of the sub-tabs and it's pointy thing point towards the currently opened major tab and slides allong the axis.

my point was: i think a sliding thing would be nice, but the } shape in the picture could be better, so i also gave some suggestions as to what i would prefer
but that's my opinion, just explaining it to make sure we're on the same page.

if you need it, I'd be happy to help out with the creative/design process, or at least give my opinions on everything, maybe something i say will be useful
