there's valid points from both sides. in the past web detecting device was not always an exact science.

now it's better : https://koderlabs.github.io/ngx-device-detector/demo/

but that's not to say it's going to stop there. I really think most browsers are going to reveal new verisons during 2020 (or maybe even as soon as this year) that usher in the necessary features to make next-gen web-based gaming (such as google stadia, and I imagine to some extent Project Scarlett) possible.

this means for example, providing fullscreen cursor lock, as well as permitting easier detection of target maybe even whether touch screen capability is present or not, (given the user-granted privelege to fetch this information).

with this Google Stadia and accessorarily Intergalactic Space Empire with seperate UI & controls for desktop and mobile becomes feasible.

All I'm saying is that it's hacky (which it is), not that it's impossible. No need to get so passive agressive!

really sad for us RTS-lovers ESPECIALLY. can you imagine? a FREE web-based RTS-making engine???

that's what they had promised to release with the moba. it would have been another stream of revenue I guess if one of the studios using it ever got past a million users or something like that.

he joined wargaming because they offered him a job and had bought his IP. You're saying you would have rather starved?

Just like everyone else he thougt Wargaming's plan was to do something with the Total Annihilation IP. that that was why they wanted him.

Just like everyone else he was bitterly disappointed.

I don't ....quite understand why to you, he's to blame.

what shift? he was out of job and down a whole company...
