Decrease build time of Air units made by experimental carrie

On the UEF experimental... I noticed the build times for air out of the carrier/sub are pretty horrendous for an experimental. It should be pumping them out constantly at a decent clip less then 10 seconds build per unit for all air. Since you already spent all that time building the damn sub it should be an air superiority machine.

It takes an Atlantis 12.5 seconds to build an ASF.

And considerably longer to build anything else. The man is right. They build at an impressive rate, but if you actually look in-game, it is almost never enough to be worth using them to do so when at that point a factory can pump out a Strategic Bomber every 8 seconds.

Then it should be even less. It should produce faster then aided factories. 1-2sec/unit.

I would possibly support that, but bear in mind that such incredibly production speeds mean a VERY large resource/s drain.

Indeed.

Bear in mind the following statistics: Producing an ASF in 1 second means that the Atlantis uses -400 mass and -40,000 energy.

Further, to do so would require a build power of 4000. With that much build power, it would have one build power for every 3 mass cost, making it more than 3 times as efficient at building than tech 1 engineers.

Frankly Funk at this point the efficiency numbers are in the wind: Who cares how it compares per mass to building Engineers? At that stage in the game, and in this situation, nobody.

Personally, I think a good balance would be an ASF every 5 seconds. Funk, can you do the numbers for this? I am too tired and heading for bed.

Also we might want to consider the alternative: Instead of speeding up production, it is not difficult for the Atlantis to have a built in cost reduction. So even if it takes longer to build them, if they are built at an 80% cost reduction that is a significant advantage over time...

Note the context: T3 planes coming from an experimental unit you sunk time and resources into that can do nothing else then build air units.

It's a matter of being useful in the context of other options. i.e. why would you build the experimental instead of just having air factories, whats the benefit/cost ratio.
