Somebody has not played enough big 8 player games.

FYI, the Paragon is BY FAR the most effective of the current game-enders. As for using the resources, I remember frequently fully utilizing 5 and above entire Paragons. When you get to the point of pumping out 5 GCs every 10 seconds, that is a LOT of resources being used.

Also, you clearly have not considered the fact that as soon as the Aeon player gets donated a UEF or Cybran Engineer and starts building Stations, the build power goes through the roof. It is not uncommon for, within 2 minutes of one Paragon being completed, another 3 are complete too! Your enemy then has 4 Paragons worth of resources between them, with the ability to construct a new one in under a minute... Trust us, it is by FAR the most effective of the Game-Enders at the moment, especially as I have not seen Mavor or Scathis actually END a game in, oooh, 3 years?

Paragon is already on the cheap side of game enders, and it already practically gives infinite resources due to the scenario outlined above. Also I've seen a Mavor get held off by a Uef player shield layering on Roanoke - and we all know how good Uef shields are. :roll:

Hell I've had about 4 Aeon t3 arty get held off by a cybran player that layered and assisted his shields (cybran shields!). For that mass I could have already had a paragon and pumped out salvations, nothing stops that.

ShadowKnight is practically proposing a nerf with the bigger explosion and nothing else being different in actual practice, which is good, as it is a difficult unit to balance by nature.

On another note: what about the salvation? I imagine it should fall somewhere in between the Oss and Scathis in terms of cost and effectiveness, making it a more viable option to rush one instead of paragon --> salvation spam as it costs more than a paragon now, which is absurd.

I will probably post a link on this forum. Before release, however, I will send it to FunkOff so it can be looked over, with the extremely slight possibility it might make it into an update.

As for Salvation, I don't think it at all fair for the Aeon to have two superweapons. Since there has been a lack of votes in my Poll thread, I will be following my original plans and balancing the Salvation to be on par with the T3 Artillery units. The UEF Artillery is mid splash and accuracy, the Cybran high splash and low accuracy, and the Aeon low splash and high accuracy. The Salvation will be rebalanced to give the Aeon a chance against well-spread unit assaults with a second T3 Artillery balanced towards high-accuracy, high-spread, low damage assault, practically useless VS a heavily shielded base.

shadow, you are probably the only one agree with me that aeon should not have two game enders. it is unfair. the salvation is a tier 3, not tier 4. why should a tier 3 be on par with t4 or even more powerful considering that its a game ender. also, the salvation cost more than most experimentals. it should be less expensive as compared to t4 units. a tier 3 should NEVER be a game ender, unless you make lots of them.

Does it matter, at all, whether we call the Salvation a T4 or a T3? It makes absolutely no difference in the game, since all T3 engineers can build both T3 and T4 units.

Uber has a very good point. Still, balancing away from GE is what will happen.

@Pilot - You know, a Balance Update for FaF. It's that thing which should happen when units are imbalanced and somebody produces a solution to make them balanced, and that solution passes any and all vetting processes.

Then it should pass through the one in charge of FAF, aren't you aware of that?
