The tempest suffers from two problems: High price and low health. You should just fix them. A cost reduction to 20,000 would be nice, just a little pricier than 2 battleships. A health increase to 60,000 will help make it useful in combat. It will still primarily be a builder/long range support fire ship, however, due to it's long range but low DPS. The torpedoes on it have low DPS per cost, so it'll still lose mass-vs-mass against subs and Atlantis, and the primary advantage of submerging is to hide from gunships and the like. I doubt my changes will make it OP even slightly.

Aside from the fact that it's a really easy way to spam t2 navy...
The Tempest's biggest strengths as a fighting unit are:
- Range
- Splash

With sonar you can abuse both. The only thing I will say on the matter there is that subs are less than 5 units deep.

funk i would more suggest 22000 with better speed shoot => tempest can't fight vs T2 navy well microed. It would also increase the dps a little, which can be a good thing.

Lux, considering the tempest is an experimental battleship, it should work like a battleship: Large, slow, firing powerful-but-slow shots. It will be best against other large ships, but ineffective against fast moving ships. It may be overpowered if it can destroy all enemy naval units easily.

It already can, people use it incorrectly. It can destroy entire sub forces instantly.

It also has the habit of getting stuck and then ignoring move commands which is really a disadvantage. I don't know if a bug is involved but anything to reduce this issue would be awesome. Also I would like it if the time needed to submerge and to surface is a bit reduced. It's really annoying when you build it, micro it to combat navy and it get's hit by t3 bombers. It would als be easier to dodge the cruiser tmls, though they would still supress it. Any XP dying to cruiser tmls just makes me sad panda.
