T1 Energy Storage

Postby Jace » 10 May 2012, 10:37

T1 Energy Storage
Health: 500hp (regen rate: 0hp/s, armor type: Structure)
Abilities: Volatile
Economy: mass: 250, energy: 1200, build time: 200
Wreckage: health: 450hp, mass: 225
Weapons: Death Weapon (Death, Normal): 2000 damage, area damage radius: 5

Why has the Death Weapon damage of that thing to be so ridiculous? I mean 2000? Didn't someone do a typo here, and it was meant to be 200? U guys serious? One alone blows a T2Pgen into the red zone.
You can't even think about using its adjacencies.

And whats with that range :D. The T2Pgen has 1500DeathDamage and range 5. Its even weaker than the storage XD

you can built them in front of your base and use them as mines when enemy is rushing you xD
i agree that this death nuke of storage is ridiculous. but thats not the only ridiculous change in buildings. for example engi stations. they had a mass building power effektiveness in 3599 of 3 times more mass per built power than a t1 engi. that was still more or less okay. now they got 5 or 6 times more mass per building power. thats even higher than t2 engis. means that even to mass t2 engis arround factories would be much better than engi stations. who should waste his mass this way? you can delete engi stations like this.

ARe you sure of what you say ?

From the stats the hives and stations have been nerfed.
For uef, builrate is 40->80 for 50 mass more than what it was in 3599
For cybran buildate is 15->30->45 for the same mass when buildrate was around 55 in the end for "t3" hives in 3599

t1 engi 10,2 mass/built rate
t2 engi 16 mass/ built rate
t3 engi cyb/uef 32,6 mass / built rate
t3 engi aeon/sera 24,5 mass/ built rate
cybran station first building 33,3 mass/built rate
cybran station second building 29,6 mass/built rate
cybran station third building 28 mass/built rate
uef engi station 22 mass/ built rate
t1 land factory 12 mass / built rate
t2 land factory 26 mass / built rate
t3 land factory 69,8 mass/ built rate
t1 air factory 10,5 mass /built rate
t2 air factory 21 mass/ built rate
t2 air factory 59,8 mass / built rate

it is even much better to spam t2 factories instead of getting engi stations !
(hive was reduce to 35 built rate maximum in third building)
the different building power of t3 engis of aeon uef cybran and sera sucks a lot there is no reason for this.

i dont doubt that it could be a strategy to drop 4 t1 engis in enemy base and built 2 storages next to a t2 mex. you would blow it after 10 secs. with t1 units you cannot do this the same speed xD

No some of your figures are wrong. Don't refer only to the unitDB. IT seems to be outdated.

cybran station first building 33,3 mass/built rate
cybran station second building 16 mass/built rate
cybran station third building 16 mass/built rate
uef engi station 25 mass/ built rate

But what I meant overall is that from 3599, kernels have been slightly nerfed (the upgrade is a bit more expensive) and the hives have been nerfed even more.

Of course t1 eng remains the most cost effective solution.

for calculating the mass/ built you have to add the costs of mass.
you have the mass of the first building of cybran engi station plus the mass of the second building, but the building power is not added. it is only what is shown on the database rofl

thats the same with the factories, when you are upgrading them you will not get back the mass of the t1 factory or the t2 factory.

Somebody is taking me for a dumbass

cybran : 500 -> +240 -> +240

so yeah twice for 240 mass you get 15 more buildrate.

500/15 = 33
240/15 = 16
