Yeah. That's why I'm always against putting (most) things to a popular referendum in this game.

It would be nice if there could be a post about how people are chosen to be the balance councillor as I don't think the process is really as transparent as some would like. Or maybe I just skipped some post/wiki that explained the process. But is it even possible for an election to ever happen for the position or is it just an internal balance testing team decision?

Sure, thats exactly what i would have liked to see. But sadly it got never even put up for discussion to remove Zock from his seat (which he got through a vote of 4-5 people). Good thing though he was in for the long haul, judging from his regular month-long breaks and recent moving to australia which lead to another ongoing already several months long break

Personally I wouldn't use that google suggestion voting thing as an example for support of anything. The thing just said "Vote for Heartler for balance fuhrer" or something like that. If it's going to be a vote it would be nice if it could be handled like the player councillor vote where you get platforms with specific changes that people can see. I'm not sure how many of those votes in the google form were just votes from people seeing heartler spam in aeolus, going "lol", and voting up on it because why not.

Also have no idea if support for Blackheart was due to certain changes, or if some changes were liked while others weren't. In general it just wasn't a good way to show how people feel about the current state of things.

I have my own issues with the balance as well, but I still think Jagged deserves some extra time in the seat to show what he can do.

Sorry mate but

1. I just played this evening (proof: https://www.twitch.tv/bc_blackheart)
2. Correct, i retired from current balance which has not changed
3. Correct, after the campaign (getting 100s of votes) got simply ignored and a vote not even remotely acknowledging it got put up, so i simply use a mod with alternate balance as solution
4. I respond to posts as unproductive as yours

This is absolutely in for the long run

Also interesting to see that people think "im not in for the long run", when im pretty much around 24/7 since 2012, have the most written words in aeolus (my biggest achievement in faf), thousands of games, returned to streaming and possibly casting, and create and update (with the help of many other people ) an own balance mod.

The last community vote was about 4 years ago. If you are referring to the fairly recent vote regarding balance, that was not even about me. It was Zock alone balancing vs Zock + a few slaves balancing, but no power shared away from him. It didnt even include my name. If it was Zock vs BH, at that point in time, im quite certain i would have won (the communities wish to replace zock gathered 100s of votes in that google feedback form, but was conveniently ignored which is another reason why i dislike the faf leadership).

Loll, are you serius? vs Aeon they just shred auroras army, with some Parashields you got a nice attack group. If they need something maybe is an improvement in their grenades reload time. Anyway is not like Mongooses are Titans ...
