I think Zock assessed the fundamental balance problems of the game (@T1) very well and found good solutions to them. He polled if you wanted a patch that addresses the problems of the game at a more fundamental level and you voted "yes". That is exactly what the patch is doing.
The only critique I have is that some of the changes do not go far enough. The HP nerf to some buildings is still necessary imho, attacking and raiding eco is slightly too difficult. The Seraphim T1 sub seems to have been forgotten (or maybe just planned for a larger sub rebalance?).

I really think Zock is doing what's best for the game, carefully enough to not permanently screw anything up in the long run. I really really think the 2nd part of this patch will bring things together and make FAF great again. :)

U must have a choice to play like u want, being a figther, a firebase maker, stooped on main base surrounded by shields or just another eng, it's freedom, it's is your choices.

If we are forced to play how team balance desires, punishing this game style, they took our liberty by authoritarism!
i'm a player that love to play many hours with my ACU on the front, i like to play like an ACU FIGTHER, when they invented HQ factories, was more dificult to do that, but i loved that change!!
But i still play with ACU on the front, to get more mass, map control, and break enemy firebases with overcharges.

taking huge risks, but happy with it, and game allow to counter it with many ways too.
Dozen times i was killed doing it.
It's the reason that not are any logical argument to nerfs ACUS, it's completly possible to counter them.

Games became a turtle game with long time with no battles or firebase vs firebase war.

Stop ranting pls, you are crying against balance changes because they changed your meta, not because they are good or not, you was always forced to build mml if you let your enemy build firebases, its the mml job, take down defenses, and you are not forced to build them, just if you are unable to hold your ground. Enemy bunker up in base? take map control and smash him, enemy build firebase in the middle? your fault for let them do it in first place.

Sure, but then you will eat shit in both fronts, some maa can take down that early bomber so ACU from one side and some tanks in the other one and you are screwed, I dont know why we have to nerf early bomber since is like scream "kill me" but hey, balance.
