I've done that for real, in an actual game before. Instead of using the Fields of Isis middle reclaim to eco I used it to tech a land factory to T3 instead. Had a small force of T1 being backed up by sniper bots. It was a lot of fun.

Brings back memories about a game in galactic war. I played seraphim vs UEF and i got my ass kicked in winter duel. So basically i was about to die (it was with new character respawn, means you loose everything you earned). I just dropped i think 5 or so in the middle of battle (i know they only have 500 or some crappy amount of hp, but it was enough vs t1), set up sniper mode and right clicked on the enemey commander. The guy was totally furious about heavily outclassing me but loosing because of cheesy galactic war mechanics. I totally didn't deserve that win. Snipers are cool and i would use them if i would actually play seraphim at some point.

I almost always default to late-game Sera to build tons of snipers, t3 shields, and othuums to fight off units that get close. In team games sera t3 land units in a mixed group are imo the best as snipers are VERY scary to deal with if managed well rather the brute force of percies/bricks/harbs.

I don't think they perform very well vs Rambo sacus but the last time I used those was last year lol

A group of shielded sniper bots (appox. 15-20) are the best way to kill a GC or Mega, which generally take down a Ythora quite easily with some micro. For fatboys it goes the same for t2 stationary arty, tac missiles, etc.

Snipers are super annoying vs t2 fleet especially on maps with narrow canals, love them, use them.

I use them. I like the heavy snipe mode. I remember I had a 1v1 blasted rock battle , and my opponent thought I was cheating. ACU snipe from darkness of the shroud. It was glorious.

Cause a big battle, order all snipe bots to target ACU in the chaos. You know, simple stuff. Sniping out tech 2 point defense is fun too. I even sniped a few destroyers in a Four Corners 2v2 battle long ago. I have great history with that unit.
