Some more details of what I'm trying:

1. Start FAF
2. Log in with my account
3. Get error that my computer is associated with another account (my sister's)
4. Follow error link to link my account to steam
5. Enter my FAF account credentials (username "metalmonkey")
6. Click "Sign in through STEAM" button
7. Click "Sign in" on steam website
8. I get returned to the FAF website with the message "Your account is linked"

But how do I use FAF now?

It does not look like the steps above signed me into FAF, so I close FAF, restart it, and then get the same error message as in step 3

Ok, so we've linked both accounts to steam, but I still get the error when I try to log into FAF with my account.

Logging in with my sister's account works fine.

Any ideas what I'm missing?

Have you tried linking your account to steam?, might be a quick workaround, i'll pm the online mods with your post in the meantime.

Hello,

I installed FAF on this laptop today, and accidentally got my sister to sign in with her account.

I tried to sign in my account instead, but got the error:

"Your computer is already associated with an FAF account"
...
"If you need an exception, please contact an admin on the forums"

Which is why I'm here, hoping to get an exception
